The best milk makes the best cheese! Clover Stornetta Farms Cheese is crafted with care using fresh, clean milk from a select group of Clover’s small family farms along the Northern California coast. We work with 3 prize winning artisan cheese makers to create our cheeses. With roots in the North Coast dairy industry reaching back to the 1890’s, our cheese makers feel working at the pace of the cheese is critical in achieving a premium product. Each vat of Clover cheese is handcrafted in small batches under the constant watch of a skilled cheese maker. This dedicated attention to detail ensures supreme quality and amazing flavor. You can count on Clover cheese to be the cleanest around – always from cows not treated with the growth hormone rBST or antibiotics. Clover is the first dairy in the nation to earn American Humane Association certification for the care we give our cows
Born and grazed in the rolling green hills of Petaluma, California, Clover Stornetta Farms has been an integral part of Sonoma County’s agriculture community since 1916. In the early 1900′s the Petaluma Cooperative Creamery began distributing Clover Brand dairy products to stores and residential customers in the Petaluma, CA area. As Petaluma and the rest of Sonoma and Marin Counties continued to grow, so did the Co-op. Clover Brand products began showing up in nearly every store and household in the North Bay. Over the years, more renovations to the processing facility not only focused on quality, but on doing things “greener.” Clover believes that being a sustainable business is the only way to do business, and we’ve done just that for three generations. We look forward to the next generations to pick up where we leave off.
