From the producer:

Jovial’s organic chickpeas are delicious right out of the 13 oz. jar. If you love beans, but don’t have time to prepare them in the traditional way, we’re happy to do the work for you. Great cooked garbanzo beans start at the farm, and our farmers only grow our beans on a handful of acres in Italy so they can care for their organic crops. We take the time to properly dry the fresh beans, so they will cook up perfectly. The beans are soaked overnight and cook to perfection, with only the addition of Sicilian sea salt and no other additives or preservatives. We use pure glass packaging, which does not alter their flavor in any way. Many of these steps are performed by hand by experienced artisans. A great source of fiber and protein without saturated fat, make jovial’s organic chickpeas a part of your everyday diet.

About Jovial Foods:

Jovial Foods, Inc. was founded by a husband and wife team who has always been passionate about food, farming and traditions. Carla and Rodolfo met in the 1980’s in Bologna, where she was spending a year abroad studying Italian and he was studying agriculture. Both were born into family of talented home cooks, he in Italy and she in New England, and food was at the center of their childhoods.Jovial is all about family, feeling good, celebrating life, and showing love with good food. Carla and Rodolfo continue to work on new products, like freshly harvested tomatoes packed in glass jars, because they don’t want to worry about harmful chemicals like BPA, and neither should you. Jovial is a small, family-owned company and we promise to stay that way. Your support makes our work possible and for this, we are forever grateful.
