Wheat Flour, Sugar, Vegetable Oils (palm, Canola, Coconut), Invert Sugar Syrup, Sodium Bicarbonate (leavening), Cinnamon, Salt, Ginger, Cloves.
All natural non-GMO ingredients. Since 1929. Sweden's most loved pepparkaka! Some thing you don't change. A lot has happened since Anna Karlsson baked her very first Swedish Thin in her little backstreet bakery in downtown Stockholm, Sweden. Today her Swedish Thins, or Pepparkakor in Swedish, are known all over the world. It is still her wonderful mixture of spices: cinnamon, ginger and cloves. They are still carefully crafted, always using traditional baking trays which gives the Swedish Thins their delicate crispness. Perhaps that's why Annas are Sweden's most loved Pepparkaka and have been since 1929. Treat your family to Annas Swedish Thins, and make this cherished Swedish tradition your own
Anna’s Danish Cookies began in 1935, when Anna Donnelly opened her small cookie shop in the Mission district in San Francisco specializing in Danish cookie assortments made from Anna’s traditional family recipes. Three generations of the Donnelly family ran the store for over 65 years, selling cookies over the counter, and scores of people made a tradition of giving the cookies during the holidays. Many Anna’s customers still remember when their mother, aunt, or loved one, walked them into the store near 18th and Guerrero and bought the white and red box of cookies for the holidays (and got a sample for free). Our customers still say that the holidays are never the same without Anna’s cookies. Ralph Donnelly ran Anna’s until he was well into his eighties. The store was sold in 2003 to their close friends, the Haggarty's, who moved it to San Mateo where they lived at the time. The Anna’s cookie tradition is carried on there today. You can still buy the traditional white baker’s box with the Anna’s logo. Come in and share a story or two. Share the Anna’s tradition!
